Occupational Health & Safety Coordinator
Job Description
As an Occupational Health & Safety Coordinator at BFP Transportation Inc., you will be responsible for developing and implementing workplace safety programs to ensure a secure and compliant working environment. You will conduct risk assessments, safety audits, and inspections to identify potential hazards while ensuring adherence to industry regulations. Your role will involve training employees on health and safety best practices, investigating workplace incidents, and recommending corrective actions to prevent future occurrences. Additionally, you will work closely with management and employees to foster a culture of safety, ensuring that all policies and emergency response plans are well understood and effectively implemented. This position requires a proactive individual with strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills.
Job Requirements
Certification or diploma in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Health, or a related field.
2+ years of experience in workplace safety, preferably in the transportation or logistics industry.
Strong knowledge of safety regulations, including WHMIS, DOT, and OSHA standards.
Excellent communication and training skills.
Ability to conduct investigations and provide safety reports.
First Aid and CPR certification (preferred).

Salary
$60,000 - $75,000 per year
