Senior Heavy Vehicle Mechanic
Job Description
As a Senior Heavy Vehicle Mechanic, you will play a key role in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining heavy-duty trucks and tankers to ensure optimal performance and safety. Using advanced diagnostic tools, you will identify mechanical, electrical, and electronic failures, repair defective components, and ensure that all systems function properly before the vehicle is returned to service.
Responsibilities include routine maintenance such as tire and brake replacements, lubrication, and system inspections. You will also be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting complex electrical and electronic systems in tankers. Occasionally, the role may require working at heights and lifting heavy loads, so physical endurance and attention to safety protocols are essential.
With over 10 years of experience, you will be expected to mentor junior mechanics, contribute to efficiency improvements, and maintain the high technical standards required to keep the fleet in top condition. Additional tasks may be assigned as needed to support workshop operations.
